The Hazel — Convertible Zip Footie
Hazel waited more than a year to be someone’s cat.
In the summer of 2024 we walked into a pet store on a supply run for Sam and Lila, straight past the Almost Home Rescue adoption center inside — and walked out with the sweetheart of the family. Hazel is the cuddler: warm, a little goofy, and generous with hearts all year round. So her print is dusty rose with petal-pink trim and watercolor hearts drifting around her portrait, because she’s the love story of the bunch. Every print starts with a photograph of our actual cat, designed into fabric at home by Stella’s mom.
Underneath the art: 95% bamboo viscose, 5% spandex — buttery-soft, breathable, with a gentle stretch that moves with your baby and washes beautifully. And it’s built for real nights: the two-way zipper opens from the bottom so 3am diaper changes don’t mean starting from the top, fold-over cuffs convert to mittens in the newborn weeks, and the feet fold open as your little one grows.
We made 10 of The Hazel in each size — 150 pieces across our entire first collection. Somebody noticed her this time.

Fabric & Care
95% bamboo viscose, 5% spandex — buttery-soft, breathable, gentle stretch. (The sewn label reads “95% Viscose from Bamboo 5% Spandex” — same fabric, legal wording.)
Bamboo viscose is happiest with gentle care:
- Machine wash cold on gentle, with like colors
- Tumble dry low, or lay flat to dry
- No bleach, no fabric softener
- Wash inside out to protect the print
Wear snug-fitting. Not flame resistant.
Federal sleepwear standards require this advisory for sizes above 9 months (our 6–12M, 12–18M, and 18–24M). Our footies are cut snug by design — snug-fitting sleepwear is the safety standard for babies, and bamboo viscose has plenty of stretch. If your little one is between sizes, size up for longer wear.
First run of 150
We made 150 of these. Not 150 per print — 150 total, across every size and all three cats. Ten of each print, in each size. That’s the entire first collection, sewn as one small batch and counted by hand (with feline supervision) when it arrived.
We’d rather make a few things carefully than many things quickly. If your size is still showing, it’s really here. If it sells out, that’s the honest end of batch one.
